Neck pain could arise from the joints, discs, nerves or muscles of the cervical spine. It could have several causes as simple as poor posture or degenerative like arthritis or nerve compression Whiplash , also called neck sprain or neck strain, can occur by a sudden forward and back movement of the neck as in a car collision.

 

This may manifest with pain which could be delayed by a few days. Neck pain is complex and can be managed by physiotherapy, acupuncture, massage, TENS machine or tablets. Sometimes injections like trigger point injections, Botox injections, Facet injections or epidurals may help break the cycle of pain and control the symptoms.
